Biomarkers in rheuamtology - today and tomorrow
Dr Tore Saxne gained his medical degree in 1976 at Lund University, Sweden. He holds a doctoral degree in rheumatology from Lund University. Since 2002 he is Professor of Rheumatology at Department of Clinical Sciences, Section of Rheumatology, Lund University, Sweden.
Tore Saxne has authored some 180 papers within the field of rheumatology. His main research focus is connective tissue biology with special emphasis on developing molecular markers for tissue involvement in rheumatological diseases.
The lecture will address how biomarkers can be used for identifications and monitoring of chronic inflammatory diseases.
